Congratulations to the 2012 Plano Independent School District Football Living for Zachary Scholarship Recipients

Congratulations to the 2012
Plano Independent School District Football
Living for Zachary Scholarship Recipients

In 2011, Living for Zachary planned to give a $1,000 scholarship to a football player from each of the three Plano Independent School District Senior High Schools. Additionally, Living for Zachary planned to give a $1,000 L4Z scholarship to a trainer from Plano East High School annually.

The scholarship criteria for the Living for Zachary Football Scholarship is not academic, or talent, but more one of character, attitude and integrity in a student. Coach Bryan McCord, from Carpenter, wrote the following to Karen Schrah about her son Zachary Schrah - and essentially is the criteria for the Living for Zachary award.

"I wanted to let you know, what a blessing it was to have Zac as part of my life for 2 years at Carpenter. As a young coach, Zachary Schrah gave me the opportunity to see what a true hard working, role model looked like. Because of Zac's display of integrity, honesty, respect and love for the game and life, I am now able to hold all my athletes to higher standards for that I am extremely thankful"
- Coach Bryan McCord
