Living for Zachary encourages all to -Listen to their Heart... this Valentine's Day

On April 2, 2009, an athletic and gifted young man, Zachary Schrah, died from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) without a history of heart disease or any type of heart issues. Living for Zachary is so thankful to the sponsors, volunteers and all that help Living for Zachary for their passion and heart to encourage others to take active steps to protect themselves and their families from SCA.

Living for Zachary has joined the pioneer effort to grow awareness of a problem that is devastating families all across the country. Heart issues often go unnoticed because of symptoms or defects that the patient rarely knows about. Youth across the country have fallen to heart conditions especially during physical activities such as athletic games and practices.

Throughout the year, Living for Zachary will be holding a variety of events from Fishing Tournaments, to 5Ks and wonderful Black Tie Galas - all to help raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. It isn’t without an incredible amount of time and vision invested in these events that they succeed and with the vision that Karen Schrah had to help other people.

We are so very thankful for all that have given their whole heart to Living for Zachary, all the families and the rest of the L4Z team for their vision to help others “Listen to Their Heart”.

Please join us for the  Join us for “HeartBeats Gala: A Tribute to Motown” at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Omni Dallas Convention Center Hotel.
