On April 2, 2009, the world lost a true gift when 16-year-old Zachary Schrah died of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) just after a typical workout with the Plano East Panther football team. Zac was the picture of health...a varsity football player with no personal or family history of cardiac problems. There were no warning signs. He simply collapsed and died.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest is a Silent Killer
Far too often there are stories in the news of young people (some athletes, some not) suffering this same fate. We at Living for Zachary strongly believe in raising awareness of and preventing Sudden Cardiac Arrest in our youth.
